In Memorium
It’s with a heavy heart that we post this memorium for Shannon.
Brass 1995 – 2010 … That’ll do Brass, go home.

Flitz passed away late February 2010 … Flitz – WTCH Heartsong’s Madame Butterfly. She was almost twelve years old when she died. She earned her ASCA Working Trial Champion title last year. She most enjoyed working cattle. She had her own mind but also liked people and had a great temperament. We all miss her terribly.

On February 21 I said my final farewell to my amazing border collie,
Floyd.
Floyd was a tireless worker, a wonderful teacher and a devoted
companion.
Floyd loved his job, whatever it was for the day. He was always ready
to work livestock (as long as they weren’t cattle!) Every time we did
agility, his face would light up and he would be so excited, even if
it was the last run of the day. If his job was entertaining a child,
he would happily play fetch all day long.
I learned so much with Floyd. He taught me things about herding and
livestock, but mostly about dedication and commitment. After he got
hurt I wasn’t sure what our future would be, but we spent hours
together rebuilding the strength in his injured leg. When we were able
to trial again every outing was a celebration.
Accomplishing his championships in herding, agility and versatility
after his comeback made them even more meaningful to me. Floyd was
just happy to be working again!
Thankyou Shannon for pairing me up with your Baby Boy so many years
ago. He was my protector, my partner and my friend. He will be forever
missed.
